  • gudy® 832 Fine Art: New PAT-certified mounting solution for heavy, thick and highly-structured Fine Art papers
  • gudy® ultra clear: improved and optimised adhesive for even more brilliant results behind glass

NESCHEN expands its product range: especially for mounting heavy, thick and highly-structured Fine Art papers NESCHEN developed gudy® 832 Fine Art. With the double-sided adhesive material the internationally operating specialist for protective films, digital print and adhesive media shows again how to successfully find the right solution for putting his customers’ wishes into practice: The market was looking for a product for demanding Fine Art papers – and NESCHEN offered the answer with gudy® 832 Fine Art with an extra amount of optimized adhesive. gudy® 832 Fine Art is very flexible and adapts to rough surfaces without penetrating the substrate. Also processing with laminating machines is easy. The acid-free material is of particular importance for Fine Art printers, photo labs, curators, restorers, museums, galleries or libraries in order to be able to fully adhere artworks.

PAT-certificate for gudy® 832 Fine Art

In addition, the NESCHEN product gudy® 832 Fine Art successfully passed the Photographic Activitiy Test (PAT) according to ISO 18916 executed by the Image Permanence Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology. Thus the material meets the conservation requirements and is certified for archiving purposes. gudy® 832 Fine Art does not change over time and remains chemically stable. “There are no reactions between the special adhesive and the artworks or photographs it gets into contact with,” explains Ignacio Fernandez, product manager at NESCHEN. Moreover, gudy® 832 Fine Art also demonstrated its outstanding adhesion properties in the PAT on all tested papers like, for example Hahnemühle, Canson, Ilford, Innova or Sihl Masterclass.

Brilliant presentation: advanced gudy® ultra clear

Additionally, NESCHEN refined gudy® ultra clear. Wherever photographs or pictures are to be presented particularly brilliantly, application behind glass or acrylic with gudy® ultra clear is the method of choice. NESCHEN refined the adhesive formula in such a way that deaerating effects in the form of bubbles or snowflakes are better prevented than ever before. Optimised material components allow an easier and more controllable processing with laminating machines. gudy® ultra clear can be applied universally and therefore it is an interesting product not just for picture framers or advertising technicians.

The two new gudy® products are exclusively sold in Germany via the group subsidiary FILMOLUX Deutschland – A BRAND OF Neschen Coating GmbH. “NESCHEN consequently concentrates on the market and its customers. The development of gudy® 832 Fine Art and the optimization of gudy® ultra clear emphasize our innovation claim in the area of Fine Art,” points out Lars Woltermann, head of Corporate Marketing at NESCHEN.
