Biggest akquisition ever in the history of the Neschen Group


With the acquisition of the SEAL brand name NESCHEN has taken an important step in realising the necessary company size. As a result, NESCHEN has achieved world-wide market leadership in many areas and now produces in the most important international markets.



April 2000

  • Takeover of a 51% stake in Accutech International Inc, Hanover, USA.

This gives Neschen access to the technology of liquid laminating and new business areas in the field of picture protection and picture enhancement are opened within the framework of our one-stop shopping strategy.

  • Neschen e-commerce ag is founded with the aim of developing the consumer market.

The company will supply the market of private end consumers with specialised self- adhesive products in the areas of book care and book protection as well as printing and protection of digital images.

 


Januar 1999

  • 51% stake in each of the companies Neschen España S. A., Barcelona, Spain, and Neschen Polska Sp.zo. O., Warsaw, Poland, is taken over.
  • Archivcenter AG and Neschen AG merge.


1998

  • The new siliconisation machine is put into operation in plant I

From now on, the required backing materials can be coated with silicone in our own plant.

  • Archivcenter AG puts a new conservation machine into service in September.
  • Participation in a distribution company in the USA and expansion of the US subsidiary, including the installation of slitting equipment to make the required rolls and lengths available.

 


1997

  • Hans Neschen GmbH (limited liability company) is changed into a stock corporation.
  • The Hungarian joint venture "Neschen Kft." becomes a 100% subsidiary.
  • The "Bückeburg Conservation Procedure" is registered as an official external project of EXPO 2000.


1996

  • The company continues to record positive results regarding turnover and earnings.
  • The "Bückeburg Conservation Procedure" for archival material is taken over from the Lower Saxony State Archives and the Archivcenter AG is founded.


1990/91

  • Plant II is built in the new industrial area in the eastern part of Bückeburg.
  • A new high-tech coating machine is installed.
  • Foundation of the subsidiary in Merlino, Italy
  • Start of the joint venture in Portugal.


1988/89

  • Further Neschen companies are founded in Lichfield, England, Hungary and the USA.


1974

  • The photo market is built up actively.
  • Neschen is the first company to introduce cold- laminating machines in the photo market.


1965

  • New construction of the plant in Windmühlenstraße in Bückeburg.
  • Closure of the plant in the town centre.
