Viscom 2009 in Düsseldorf: Neschen AG distinguished with the Innovation Award

ERFURT wallpaper CA receives first prize

Bueckeburg, Dusseldorf October 2009 – The new “ERFURT wallpaper CA” from Neschen AG is an important contribution to innovations in industrial inkjet printing. This is why Neschen AG received an Innovation Award for Digital Printing / Large Format Printing at the Viscom 2009 in Dusseldorf. Frank Seemann, Head of Marketing/Communication for Neschen AG takes stock: “Viscom was an ideal platform for presenting our new product. And then there is the distinction of the Innovation Award, which we are of course very happy about; afterall, it really confirms that we are on the right track".

The digitally printable ERFURT wallpaper CA, a CA-certified nonwoven wallpaper, is a product of close co-operation between two specialists: Erfurt for the wallpaper and Neschen for the precoating. The standardized coating from Color Alliance (CA) means Erfurt wallpaper can be individually designed on inkjet printers and then applied using a commercial nonwoven fabric adhesive. Neschen AG showed just how easy it is to wallpaper at their booth at Viscom.

“If you want to achieve a perfect result on the wall, our digital nonwoven wallpaper is the perfect product”, says Lars Jentzen, Head of Advertising and PR for Erfurt in Wuppertal. “It’s not painted, but professionally printed and then expertly wallpapered, fulfilling all user demands. That even wallpapering can be so simple was demonstrated together with Neschen at the Viscom booth. Finally there is another perfected medium available on the market.” The CA coating ensures the required product safety by radically reducing the number of color profiles. This simplifies production
processes and increases productivity in large format inkjet printing. André Kapsa, Business Manager of Color Alliance in Vlotho, adds: “A comprehensive CA workflow ensures the color accuracy of the inkjet print. This provides printers, retailers, print buyers and end users with maximum process stability”.
