The self-adhesive, ultra-thin paper repair tape filmoplast® P enables the almost invisible repair of torn book pages, sheet music or drawings. Even when scanning or copying, the tape remains virtually invisible. It is also ideal for reattaching loose pages and reinforcing damaged edges.
The special paper combines strength and durability with excellent flexibility and transparency. This allows filmoplast® P to adapt perfectly to the paper surface and helps extend the lifespan of books and documents.
In addition, filmoplast® P is used for mounting lightweight photographs or paper behind passe-partouts, for example with a T-hinge mounting method. The solvent-free, permanently elastic adhesive provides a convenient and easy-to-use alternative to water-activated tapes.
The adhesive of filmoplast® P is slightly alkaline, ensuring that the paper is not damaged while providing sufficient buffering capacity to help prevent acid deterioration.
The ageing resistance has been tested by the Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS). In addition, filmoplast® P has passed the Photographic Activity Test (PAT) according to ISO 18916.
